About Liam Alex Heffron
Just back from presenting to the E.U. parliament, Liam plays the skeptical historian, Finbarr, in the award-winning movie Prospect House – awarded best new Irish Feature at the 2023 Cork International Film Festival. Moving to Los Angeles in 2024, he is presently working on several projects including an online series poking a satirical take on actors’ desperation to make it in La-La Land.
Liam is known as the uncompromising police officer Sean Doran in RTÉ’s Fair City, while also known for his roles in the comedy series Hardy Bucks and award-winning short film Top of the Rock. Check out his IMDB here. As an expert PhD historian, he has also contributed to BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? plus RTÉ’s Primetime, Battle for Rural Ireland and The Claire Byrne Show.
Liam became a regular stage actor on the local circuit, studying at Galway Theatre Company and producing his own stage plays, The Tinker’s Blade and 1798, The Year Of The French. Liam later trained with the Irish Film Academy (Dublin), Howard Fine (Los Angeles) and Anthony Robert Grasso (New York).

Liam will be sharing his experience of moving to Los Angeles as an Irish actor. In particular we’ll be talking about:
